There are Occupational Therapists available, among other services although the waiting list is avery long.
They have an excellent 24/7 alarm service (current cost £23pm) which contacts next of kin or London Ambulance Service as required. referral required by Southwark Social Services.
They will adapt your landline, provide a keysafe (which avoids emergency services breaking in) and provide an alarm tag for wearing round the neck.

Specsavers has a domicialry service for eye tests and new glasses.

Taxicard service for those who meet certain disability conditions such as Attendance Allowance or London Borough disabled pass.
Initial referrals for Southwark disabled pass are handled by Paxton Green Health Centre or other GPs.
Fares are approximately half usual taxi fares. Wheelchairs accommodated and drivers will come to the door to assist users. A disadvantage is that it's not suitable where timing is important.
The service covers destinations within M25 or to a London Airport.
